For my summer break I went on vacation to Canada and I spent nearly 2 months there. Before that I was really health conscious and would spend at least 45 minutes in the gym, but I would never push myself. I saw the promos for P90x over there and was really impressed. So when I got back to the US, I started the workout on Aug 1st. I have never felt so good before physically and mentally. I could jump higher, run faster and I have really good stamina. So that is my testimony and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to get fit fast.

I am about to finish my third week of insanity. I love it so far. The program is hard as hell and gives you a phenomenal workout, but it's also easy to follow. Shaun T is a great motivator in the workouts, and the meal plan is really easy to follow and includes a lot of really good food (both good for you and that tastes good). I have been looking for a program like this for a long time - I have plenty of willpower and desire, but I need the structure. This program gives great structure. In three weeks I have lost about 7 pounds and can already see the toning in my mid section!
Pros: Easy to follow
Great structure
Great meal plan
Good motivator
Good variety
Easy to do at home without any equipment
The upper body weight training video is also fun and a great workout.
Cons: Not many - it's hard, but that's kind of a good thing.
Wish Shaun T spent a little more time on caring for the muscles after workouts. I definitely do my own additional stretching afterwards.

After going through the first five workouts (through pure cardio and abs), I am finding that I'm much closer to getting through the whole workout, but I am so glad that there are super fit people in the workouts who bail out during the session! Thank you!!!!
Aches and pains, yes, there are a couple of exercises that cause some extra pain, so I just work around those for a day or two.
I think the food book is killer. That has really helped me shape and adjust my eating.
I have seen results over the last three weeks - I can get much further in the workouts, I have shed pounds, I am eating healthier, I have better definition in my arms and legs.
I have a long way to go, but off to a good start!

LOVE this program! I'm a P90X graduate (as of April 2012) and this is one awesome strength-training program! I love the quality instruction. Tony Horton is entertaining lol.
Pros: High-quality workouts. Only need basic equipment. Scheduled workouts that eliminate the guess work for you.
Cons: Workouts are lengthy.

I just finished Insanity. I couldn't be happier with the results. I lost 30lbs and several inches across my body and 2 pants sizes. I haven't been in this kind of shape since high school and that was 15 years ago. I still have another 15 pounds to reach my goal weight so I am redoing the last month before starting P90X. My goal was to lose 45 lbs and to be 2/3 there in 2 months is outstanding seeing that I got stronger along the way!
I started Insanity from no workout regiment at all. It was a shock to my system to say the least. Breaking my eating habits was the hardest part. Once you get into the habit of eating better the results will take care of themselves. I started seeing a difference in the mirror in the first few weeks which just made me buckle down and push even harder, and it really paid off. Like any other program you get out of it what you put in to it. If you slack off or don't eat right don't expect a miracle because it will not happen. But if you eat right and follow the workouts, pushing yourself to the Max everyday, you will have no choice but to get into the best shape of your life.

This 10 minute trainer video is awesome. The workout is fast yet effective. The movements are easy to follow which I feel is very important. I also loved the bonus abs routine dvd. I highly recommend purchasing the 10 minute trainer if you are a person who enjoys working out but has a limited amount of time fitting it in their schedule.

Just finished Insanity last week. I thought I was in good shape, but this made me 1000x better. Went from 188 lbs to 176 lbs and lost all that unnecessary fat….and I’m ripped and the 6 pack starting to show up.
Bottom line, give 100% and it works. Can’t take breaks for more than 5-10 seconds. Push, push, finish and you WILL get results. But it also may take 2, 3, or 4 rounds to get to where you want to be. Don’t make excuses, stay on schedule, eat healthy, and give it your all. Your life will change.

This shake is not only rich, thick and creamy, but easily holds me over until lunch time. It tastes so good, I have to remind myself there's no need to feel guilty...its nutritious, low calorie, and delicious. I use a hand blender and mix it with ice and water. I've only tried the chocolate...love it!

First and foremost I would love to tell Shaun T, How much I love this Program. At first it was very hard and difficult, I was at a point in my life where my weight was affecting me so much, emotionally and Psychologically the fact that I work here in Baghdad, things and situations are not the best, I just had to convince my mind that I could do it. So far I have completed the program (3) Times… I have never been in better shape and am a living testimony that you can achieve and conquer anything as long as you believe in yourself. The one thing I love so much about the program you never feel like you’re doing it all Alone, Shaun has a way to communicate with the Audience that makes you feel like you can push through and never giving up, I will not lie that it was easy, Not at all, just have the right mindset. My first time obviously were the hardest when I couldn’t get through without taking so many breaks… but I grew stronger as the days went by, so when I actually decided to do the Program the 2ND & 3RD Time I could not even believe I was the same person.
This is an experience that I will never forget in my entire life, this is the just the beginning actually and thanks to Shaun T I am never looking back. I know better & eat healthy as well. Thank you so much Shaun T..

Fabulous fitness series. Well put together like all beachbody products: Timer on the screen, every exercise is explained, correct posture is emphasized and possible errors pointed out.
Chalene Johnson is totally motivational and yet always offers help for beginners and those who want low impact, bands, alternative options.
Pros: Shorter workouts than some other programs: Longest workout is 45mins, most workouts are around 30mins.
Options using weight, bands, no weights
Options for high impact and low impact
Other participants are on multiple workouts so you see your favorite person often.
Cons: A bit repetitive.
I have the extra disc, but the 3 workouts on it are very similar to the original set.
The extended set is a little better, but Chalene is still using the same warm-up routine for every disc, and many of the same exercises just in a different order.

My friend has this bar and you get much better range of motion than a standard pull-up bar. Much easier to maintain proper form which in turn helps easier reps. I wish I had it ha!

I give Les Mills Pump a rating of 5 because anyone, regardless of fitness level, can do it and be challenged! The team of trainers that teach Pump are great and they really train you throughout each of the programs by giving an explanation of proper form and ways to either modify each movement or make it more difficult (add weight!). The music and the personality of the trainers make it a quick and enjoyable workout.

Hi all, I am an out of shape 40yoa female and just finished my first round of asylum. I am very pleased with the progress that I made in these 30 days. I have gone from doing the push-ups on my knees to actual push-ups, my stamina has increased tremendously and I have lost quite a few inches. I am starting my next round immediately and very much looking forwards to it.

First off I have to give it to Shaun T for making an absolute monster of a program. These workouts do just what they promise, and this is improve your sports performance, no matter what that sport is. The variety of the workouts keeps you from getting worn out on any one particular video, and Shaun T is the ultimate motivator, truly making you feel like part of Team Asylum.
Pros: The addition of the equipment such as the agility ladder and speed rope make these workouts fun and entertaining, and make you focus on form first to make each rep count. And the fact that Asylum comes with hybrid calendars for P90X and Insanity makes this even more of a great deal, and adds even more variety to your workout plan.
Cons: Alot of the moves in Gameday/Overtime and Vertical Plyo are high impact, and having these workouts on back-to-back days can sometimes aggrevate knee joints or smaller leg muscles, so just know your body and take breaks when needed.

I started P90X in Feb. 2007. Since than, I have completed the program many times. I have also been using the One on One videos and find them to be a great addition to mix up with the P90X program. I have put together Hybrid Mix's if you will. The One on One's are great as you can pick the one's you want that compliment your goals, and they do take your P90X experience to a whole new level. I am mixing it up all the time. If you are happy with P90X, than the One on One's are essential to keep mixing it up and challenging yourself.
Pros: Allows you to mix up routines and create your own Hybrid workouts that can focus on strengths and weaknesses. You can also pick and choose which videos best compliment your needs. Just you and Tony working out.

This is a great addition to the Chalean extreme workout serious. After doing the DVD's for 6 months straight it is nice to add a few new workouts and believe me when I say they are tough!!!!!!
Pros: New and challenging.
Cons: Wish there was more heavy lifting DVD's to add to the circuits.

My husband and I are using P90X2 right now. We just started Round 2 and are loving it! VERY different work out philosophy, but also very effective so far. My husband has lost 25 pounds since we started it. We use the meal planner on teambeach body for nutrition. We give it a 5!

It's intense but I like it! My only issue is the time! I wish was around the 30-35 min mark as it is a supplement to another program that I do in the mornings.
Results are slower than I have wanted.. But I think when you are working on that last 10 pounds it just takes time!

By far the best meal replacement I've ever had. Recommend the chocolate flavor. It really helps to use this as a breakfast replacement. Add creatine powder for an extra bang for your buck.

I like to blend the chocolate with a scoop of chocolate whey protein powder, low fat milk and ice for a high protein, nutritious lunch and I feel like I am drinking a rich chocolate milkshake that should be 1,000 more calories then it really is.

I have been a faithful Shakeology drinker since about 2 months after it came out. I always drank the chocolate. Everyday it was chocolate with banana and a scoop of peanut butter.
It was great! I loved it, couldn't get enough of it, but like P90X, Insanity, etc. it's all based on variety.
I wasn't basing my food too much on variety....of the healthy kind! :)
I was eating clean, but after about 2 years of Chocolate I was hitting a wall with it. I was starting to dread it in a way even though I knew it was good for me, I was just getting in a rut with it.
Then here came Tropical. I am a lover of fruit. I mean in season it's a good 3-5 pieces of fruit a day. That's good and bad. Sometimes too much sugar, not enough protein, etc. But when I heard it was Tropical I got excited.
The day my bag arrived I made it with straight water and 1 scoop of Shakeology Tropical.
It hit my lips and once the taste was there I CHUGGED IT. I had another one made right there. 2 in a row.
It's amazing. Light, smooth and filling. It's my game changer again. My new favorite mixture is a kiwi fruit and a banana. Delicious!
Pros: Light, smooth, refreshing, filling
Cons: Maybe that there are only 30 servings in a bag?? :)

I love Turbo Fire!!!! I have had great results with Chalene's program. I love the HIIT workouts. They are perfect for a quick morning workout before work. You'll be sweating for a good 30 minutes afterwards. The strength & core workouts are a nice alternative to the high intensity HIIT days. My jeans have never fit so good. Give Turbo Fire a try, you won't be disappointed. Whether you are a Chalene Johnson fan already or not, you will be after you try this workout.
Pros: Fast, fun, high intensity, quick results, perfect cueing, lots of variety
Cons: I want more Turbo Fire workouts. I already bought the advanced DVDs but I want more. Where is Turbo Fire 2?
