The P90X Insanity hybrid is a workout rotation that combines two of Beachbody’s greatest workout programs.

P90X Insanity HybridBy combining these two programs, you get the POWER of the P90X resistance workouts, and the cardio burning INTENSITY of the Insanity workout. While you can start this rotation anytime you like, I think you will get the best results by doing P90X “as is” first, followed by Insanity “as is” OR this P90X Insanity hybrid. Let me explain:  P90X “as is” will give you a great foundation, but the cardio while challenging, is not intense as Insanity, so you can build up your cardio to prepare for Insanity or this hybrid. Once you have completed 90 days of the P90X workout, you can then decide what’s next. Choose Insanity, if you really want to burn off some calories and maintain your current muscle mass. Choose this P90X Insanity hybrid if you want to continue to work on building lean muscle, while stepping up your cardio a notch. While doing any rotation, either follow the P90X or Insanity nutrition plan. The nutrition is going to be very important.

As a final thought, this is only one suggestion, an example. There may be a rotation that works better for you. Feel free to mix it up, and make your own hybrid. A word of caution. A hybrid workout is not necessarily better than a complete round of either workout program. It’s a rotation designed to continue your training, change the intensity, create variety, If you have P90X and Insanity, you have two programs that by themselves are outstanding. So don’t forget that you have two programs that are designed to get results, if you haven’t completed both start to finish, put it on your “to do list”, it’ll definitely be worth it!
